Stop In The Name Of Love

Have you ever said something you wish you could take back?

You said a little more than you should or said something by mistake and now it’s too late. And you kept on talking, kept on putting your foot in your mouth.

Maybe you hurt someone, inadvertently or even intentionally and you just wish you hadn’t! And for whatever reason, you had to continue to explain, even though you knew it wasn’t getting any better. The momentum of saying what you were feeling or thinking was stronger than your better judgment or your compassion at the time.

Don’t you wish you just caught yourself and stopped?

Can you Read the Signs?

How do you know when the Universe is calling?
One powerful and inspiring aspect about Spirit, about the Divine, is you never know when She will send you a sign. A sign can be really obvious or it can be subtle and even invisible. What is most important about receiving signs or Divine messages is you have to be open to them.

Everyday is a new beginning, but it’s still the same old you.

every day is a new beginning

Everyday is a new beginning. Yippee!

I know you probably heard that one before, right, that every day is new?

You’ve probably heard it often, in every platitude, telling you that you can start fresh and be open and have more possibilities. People have quoted it to you. They sent it as a seemingly profound tweet to motivate you or inspire you.

Everyday is a new beginning.
Feel better? HA!

It doesn’t really look like it though, does it?
It doesn’t look like today is a new beginning. It may be a new morning and the dawn has risen and the skies may look different, but it feels just like more of the same. You have your lists from yesterday. You have your ideas from childhood. Continue reading

The Rainbow Hunter

rainbowhunter1

The skies in New Mexico are simply astounding. One of the amazing things here are the rainbows. The skies are so vast and the vista so large, that you can watch the storm clouds travel and see the rain before it hits the ground. The rainbows are dramatic. We are known for having double rainbows. Double rainbows are rainbows on top of each other. The arching curve of one rainbow goes from red to violet light and then, right under it ,another curve of red to violet, shines in the sky. It’s gorgeous and breath taking.

The Rainbow Hunter
My husband Peter is a Rainbow Hunter. He can find rainbows in the dark skies even when there is just a hint. He knows where to look in the skies and a rainbow just shows itself. Sometimes, though, I think he invites them to appear, like magic. They aren’t there, yet. He’ll point to the break in the clouds and say, “LOOK!” And I can’t see it. Then he’ll insist. Still can’t see it. Then, finally, the colors reveal themselves and spread across the skies! First they are subtle and then they are unmistakable and brilliant!

I’ve included some photos of the rainbow from a couple of days ago to share with you. Just take a breath and bask in the refracted light stretching across the clouds and skies.

Dealing With The Storms
You know rainbows appear after the storms. First, the skies are dark and foreboding. Then, the thunder and lightning blasts across the calm skies and shakes everything up. The downpour is next. Buckets of rain start pelting, sweeping and pouring down in every Continue reading

Don’t let second-hand stress ruin your life

Now there is recent, scientific proof that you can catch stress from other people, just like you catch a cold. It’s contagious and detrimental to your health and your life! Seriously, you can catch and absorb stress from other people.

Teams at Saint Louis University and University of California at San Francisco recently created “secondhand stress” to study whether it could be as contagious as a cold. Researchers found that stress can be passed on. Not only that, you can catch and absorb stress from just watching a person in a stressful situation.

I’ve been teaching you how to stop absorbing negative energy from people and situations for years. That’s why I created my course Claim Your Spiritual Real Estate: How to Tune In and Be Open Without Absorbing Negative Energy. I’ve seen this second hand stress and negative energy in the lives of my clients. You can absorb negative energy from clients, associates, friends and other people and often, you don’t even know you are absorbing it. I’ve also experienced this second hand stress and negative energy in my own life.

As an intuitive and psychic from birth, I would pick up on all of the info from other people around me. That included people’s energy, fears, and emotions. I didn’t really pay attention to any of it because I was used to feeling that way. Of course, that mean I was used to feeling and picking up other people’s energy.

The turning point for me, was years ago when my husband Peter and I were in Boston and we drove by a funeral home. All of a sudden, I got really snippy with Peter. Since we had been driving and laughing seconds before this, he asked me what was going on. Because of the immediacy of the situation, I knew I was picking up on the anger and mourning from the people about this person’s death.

This one incident showed me how much absorbing negative energy could impact me. If this happened just by driving by the funeral home, I could imagine how much stuff I absorbed every day. Continue reading
